I have a senior chihuahua that he has hardly any teeth left so I had switch to wet food but then that was getting hard for him as he was having troubles just getting it into his mouth. He was losing weight and I basically starving himself because it was just too hard for him to eat. I had went into the store to try to find a medicine dropper to try to feed him that way and decided since I was there to see if there was any food there that I could just blend enough so he could eat and that is when I found a pouch for senior dogs as a mousse consistency. I brought it home and he loved it. He is eating again and has put on some weight. I can not say enough about this food. It has truly been a lifesaver!

My senior Shih Tzu has been eating Tiki Dog for years, but since July has been having stomach/diarrhea issues. I noticed that the food he was eating changed and it had more liquid in it than normal. Either way, I had to take him to the vet & we put him on a prescription diet and the issues have disappeared. Now I need to wean him off the prescription diet and now need to get him on a senior diet. Will this “Senior Mouse” replace a regular meal? Or is it designed to be in addition to a regular meal? Do you have any dog food formulated for senior dogs? He has always loved the canned food, but I just can’t have him running around with these issues. Please advise.

Hello! Our Senior Mousse is a complete and balanced meal, made specifically for older pups needs. That being said, our other Tiki Dog foods meet the AAFCO nutritional requirements to be complete and balanced for dogs of all lifestages.

I use this only to entice my dog to eat her medicine. How long in the fridge is it good for after opening before I should get a new package out?

Hello! This should be good in the fridge after opening for about 2 days.

I started adding this to my 11yr old heeler’s bowl (who wouldn’t consider himself senior BTW). His excitement level went from 0 to 100 when I topped his typical kibble with this! He also just generally seems happier, more active. We were having problems motivating him to go down stairs (and outside), it’s been a different story lately.
