Kittens are born carnivores, but they also have very specific nutritional needs. With increasing energy, developing digestive and immune systems, and growing bodies, they need nutrition designed just for them.
For kittens, feed approximately 1 1/2 cans per day per 1 lb. of body weight. For adult cats, feed approximately 2 1/4 cans per day per 7 lbs. of body weight. Pregnant or nursing cats may require two to four times their normal feeding.

Due to an emergency, we ended up with 3 four-week old kittens in our house! We had no problem fostering but no clue what to feed them. Being able to walk into the store, and see a food specifically for four-week old kittens, was an absolute lifesaver. The kittens love it, both mixed with formula and without. We recently adopted a 5-week old rescue kitten, so a friend recommended Tiki Cat. Transitioning from formula to this was very easy, and he loves every flavor! We’ve been following the serving size recommended on the packaging and he’s been growing at a healthy rate.
