Carol Rohr –
Well, my local pet food store advertised this in the store as something to replace our beloved Rad Cat. I have three cats who were raised on raw. One of them is 18 years old. I was excited to hear from the store manager that she thought this was almost like the Rad Cat formula, because our cats loved it and always licked their plates clean. We’ve tried several other raw foods, but between them having quite large shards of bone in them that were not ground very well and the unappealing smell of the food, my cats have not been happy with them. We tried Tiki Cat turkey tonight and it’s a mixed review. One cat liked it and ate most of it, another ate about half and stopped and one of the old 18yr olds ate only a few bites. So yet another failure for us.
I did not like the consistency of it. It had a lot of gritty bits in it. Is that ground bone? The label on the container does not say that it has bone it it… just turkey (which I assumed meant the meat part) and turkey bone broth (which I assumed was JUST the broth without any meat or bits of anything in it). As much as I wanted this to be the answer to our prayers, it’s not really a hit with my cats.
